Best Gas Furnaces

80% AFUE Two Stage - Variable Speed

What are the benefits of two stage; variable speed furnaces?

  • Two stage furnaces operate like two separate furnaces to maintain a more consistent comfort level throughout your home.
  • During the first stage, which is about 80% of the time, the unit will use about 68% of its heating capacity.
  • It will always start in the first stage and attempt to meet the heating demand. This reduced capacity is enough to efficiently warm your home on mild winter days.
  • When the temperatures drop the furnace automatically adjusts itself and enters the second stage to meet the increased heating demands.
  • iQ Drive® Ready Furnace. This furnace is designed to seamlessly integrate our Award-Winning iQ Drive® Air Conditioner, the most energy efficient air conditioner for the home at 23 SEER.

Thanks to two stage, variable speed technology the temperature in your home will only vary a couple of degrees and you will experience quiet comfort, with;

  • Improved air filtration delivered with two stage variable speed so you’ll breathe a lot easier.
  • Improved humidity control.
  • Gentle elimination of uncomfortable temperature swings.

iSEER Inside

All Two stage Frigidaire Furnaces feature iSEER™ technology for greater comfort year round. This unique technology increases the energy efficiency of your cooling system. The energy performance of a cooling system is rated by SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio). The higher the SEER, the more energy efficient the product. Frigidaire Gas Furnaces with iSEER can boost the energy efficiency up to one SEER during the cooling season. For more information on energy efficient cooling systems, please ask your Frigidaire dealer.

What is AFUE?

It measures the amount of heat actually delivered to your house compared to the amount of fuel that you supply to the furnace. Thus, a furnace that has an 80% AFUE rating converts 80% of the fuel that you supply to heat - the other 20% is lost out of the chimney.
